Description

Researcher Tijl Deneut is specialized in data center technologies: storage, networking, virtualization and server technologies. His mission is to translate the innovations to practical knowledge for SMB's. Tijl has taught various courses to SMB's on implementing SANs in cost-effective ways. He is also a co-architect to the first independent virtualization benchmark. Its purpose is allowing developers to measure how their software will perform in a virtual environment.

 

After obtaining a bachelor MCT degree with great honors in 2006, he went on to obtain a master's degree in Electronics-ICT. His excellent thesis "Hardware-assisted Virtualization" is used as introduction course to virtualization at several companies. Besides 2 successful internships at the Sizing Servers Lab, Tijl has also been active as AutoCad Engineer at the cheese factory of Passendale.
