Dieter Vandroemme is the lead developer of the lab, and the driving force behind its unique virtual stress testing suite, vApus. Dieter developed his own powerful threading system, allowing vApus to require very little clients to stress test to put very heavy load on even the newest server systems. Dieter is also the brains behind the complex master-slave system, allowing vApus to test multiple virtual machines in a cluster at the same time.
In 2007, he graduated with great honors as a bachelor of MCT. His final thesis, discussing amongst other subjects the addition of energy monitoring into vApus was honored with an Innovation Award by the Innovation Center of Western-Flanders and a thesis price of Leiedal.
