Description

Johan De Gelas is Sizing Servers' project manager. It is his job to ensure the team of researchers in the lab functions as efficiently as possible. Diving deep into the hypervisortechnology and understanding what's behind the "Private Cloud" is his research assignment.

 

After his studies as an Industrial Engineer of Elektro-Mechanics, he started his carreer at the Fortis Bank in 1995, first as an IT-analyst, after that as member of the ERP-implementation team. For 11 years now, he has written deeply detailed articles about server technology for ZDNet, ITProfessional and Anandtech.com.

 

Since 2001, he has been combining this with a job as Lector of server technology and networking at the University College Howest. In 2003, he started up the Sizing Servers Lab. Johan also teaches the course "virtualization" at the Institute of Permanent Education (IVPV) at the University of Ghent. This english course is broadcasted to several European companies.
