Sizing Servers performs its research in the following fields:
As such, our purpose is to apply the academic knowledge (how does a hypervisor work on the inside) to realworld situations (how do we make our virtual machine perform to the best of its abilities).
This research is made possible by a well-equipped, ever-expanding lab, containing amongst others the following:

Sizing Servers has built a strong reputation by regularly publishing the results of our research on respected websites like Anandtech.com and ZDnet.be. The lab is in contact with every important server manufacturer and software developer.
Sun, Intel and IBM have been regular partners, both on the field of software (JVM, Compiler, databases) as hardware (servers CPU's). The newest Apple, HP, Supermicro, Iwill and MSI-servers have also been tested in the lab. Novell/Suse, Sybase, Microsoft and BEA Weblogic will readily support us when tuning their software, and we've always been able to count on the attention of the MySQL team. These contacts give our lab access to an amazing amount of knowledge and support.
In the pictures are the Intel Server Performance Team from Portland (Oregon, USA), who visit our lab yearly. On the right, you can see a part of our research team visiting HP Belgium's storage lab.
